Irish on Rock

There has been an Irish presence for many years, noticeable by the fact that one of the main streets here is named Irish Town. Although the origins of the name is sometimes in dispute, it is thought that the original Irish residents were women immigrants who came to Gibraltar in late 1727 and early 1728 to provide company for the troops stationed in the military barracks that formed part of the compound where the lower military Irish ranks were housed. Jonathan Sacramento aka SAC releases a new album titled The Wooden Street – album review

Reviewing albums is not just a perk, luxury or something to brag about especially in this line of work. In my opinion to review an album, gig or anything of this nature is a sense of trust and to be honest with those performing or on a particular project. This person’s brand new album was released a few months ago and as soon as I saw, I really couldn’t wait to dig deep into it. Jonathan Sacramento is a respected journalist locally but he is also a very gifted musician. Jonathan as a part of Superwookle opened up for prog rock greats Marillion in 2007 and is also one of the original founder members of the Gibraltar Live Music Society. The album boasts of twelve original tracks and I am sure that it won’t disappoint Keep Reading
