The 58th Great Gibraltar Beach Clean continued in its valiant
tradition to best remove rubbish and debris from our shoreline.
A total of 27Kg was recovered from Catalan Bay in an hour, mostly made up of plastics.
Young #MedOceanHero Sofia Goldwin from SPLPS had even given the area a once over the previous evening!
The Seawave generously treated the volunteers to a nice cup of coffee and a croissant in gratitude for their fantastic efforts and MetalRok collected, weighed and sorted the refuse ensuring it does not end up in landfill.
The 4×4 Challenge
The 4x4x48 challenge consists of running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, and Reece Donovan managed to motivate and power through the feat despite terrible weather conditions over his chosen weekend.
The personal trainer managed to raise over €2000 which was then presented to Giovi Viñales of CRUK-GIB in The World Trade Center.
